
Bol s Jungle Tours is on your right just before you come to the gate for the reserve. Bol s can take you for a hike into the jungle searching for wildlife or medicinal plants. They will take you by horseback to caves located on their property. The caves feature pottery and skeletons.
The terminal also houses the Maritime Museum and the Coastal Zone Museum. Both are open daily from 8 am to 4:30 pm; tickets are sold just outside the door, at the same booth where water taxi tickets are sold, and are good for both museums. The cost is BZ $4 per person, but US $4 for foreigners. The museum s main floor has model boats and documents southwest customer relations on display in dusty glass cases with little lighting. It offers a historical account of the maritime history of Belize. Upstairs is a collection of shells and corals southwest customer relations illustrating the oceanography of the area.
