The Stork Club, 18 Buena Vista Drive, 822-2034, at the San Ignacio Hotel, is the place for a drink before you have your steak in the restaurant. The club has a happy hour every evening, but it is especially popular on Friday.
Non-water people should visit the lagoons evergreen airlines on Ambergris, where the wildlife hangs out. Because the island was once an extension of the mainland, many animals not normally seen on islands are found on Ambergris.
he little village of Santa Elena, Mile 70, is on the east side of the Macal River. It is quiet and non-imposing evergreen airlines as compared to San Ignacio on the other side of the Hawksworth Bridge, the only suspension bridge in Belize.
