Built around AD 736, the temple is topped by a 40-foot (12-meter) comb covered in hieroglyphs. It is suspected that Yik Chan K awiil is entombed here. Although the temple is not high, the inscriptions are interesting. The stele in front has a carving of a ruler with blood dripping from his incised penis.
