
The terminal also houses the Maritime Museum and the Coastal Zone Museum. Both are open daily from 8 am to 4:30 pm; tickets are sold just outside the door, at the same booth where water taxi tickets are sold, and are good for both museums. The cost is BZ $4 per person, but US $4 for foreigners. The museum s main floor has model boats and documents on display in dusty glass cases with little lighting. It offers a historical account of the maritime kalula history of Belize. Upstairs is a collection of shells and corals illustrating the oceanography of the area.
